Is a state owned company, part of the Spanish Public Administration, which provides the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and other public bodies with engineering and infrastructure services, consultancy services and management-related technical and administrative support.

TRAGSA Group is a leading company in environment, wildlife conservancy, agronomics, and forestry matters, and counts on a wide experience in all these fields. The Spanish Forest Map, the National Forest Inventory, and the SIGPAC system are only a few examples of national projects carried out by the company for the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. The company counts, therefore, with very valuable knowledge about public information which could be much better exploited using tools such as the ones to be developed in the present project.

TRAGSA Group counts on an Innovation Unit in charge of the monitoring, management, technical support and financial tasks of the R&D projects carried out by the different units of the company. It has a wide experience in the management of research and innovation projects (H2020, FP6, FP7, Interreg, LIFE). Nowadays, the Group is involved in several EU-funded projects: DataBio (H2020), Cross-Nature (CEF-INEA)… TRAGSA is the coordinator of CROSS-FOREST project, and TRAGSATEC is its affiliated entity.

Supercomputación Castilla y León (Scayle) is a public entity created by the Junta de Castilla y León and the University of León, which aims to improve the research tasks of the university, the research centers and companies. As a Public Research Centre dependent on the Community of Castilla y León, its main activity is to support the improvement of R & D & i tasks, in this sense it is defined as a Public Research Agency that collaborates with other public bodies, institutions and companies in the development and execution of Research Projects, forming part of the consortia constituted for this purpose or through subcontracting mechanisms.

Intensive calculation
The Centre provides users with the requisite calculation and storage capacity and application software. Scayle has a multidisciplinary team of experts to advise user groups on the best solution for their needs.

Cloud computing
Since its inception, the Centre has made a strong commitment to Cloud Computing and its associated technologies and methodologies, based on the fact that Cloud is an efficient way to use IT infrastructures. This is why the centre participates in and offers services based on Cloud technology development projects.

RedCAYLE
The first purpose of the network is to provide connectivity and telecommunications services, as well as being the ideal means to channel value-added services.

Is one of the most important centres of Higher Education in Spain. It has four campuses -Valladolid, Palencia, Segovia and Soria-, over 100 degrees, 80 doctoral programs (14 with Honour Mention) and 68 postgraduate degrees, accredited international relations and prestigious research centres. On average, nearly 25,000 students enrol each year, it has more than 2,500 teachers and nearly 1,000 administrative staff. Over 60% of students do internships in companies and other institutions. FUNGE is a no-profit organisation, 100% capitalised by UVA. FUNGE was specifically created in order to manage the administrative and financial tasks of UVA. Regarding CROSS-FOREST, UVA will count on its affiliated entity FUNGE for the development of the project.

Is a Portuguese public agency under the direct administration of the State within the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Action. DGT’s mission is to pursue public policies on spatial planning, land use, territorial and urban development. Being also the national authority for geographic Information, DGT is in charge of the National Geodetic Network, the production of topographic and thematic cartography and Cadastre and is responsible for the coordination of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure and INSPIRE implementation in Portugal (INSPIRE NCP). It operates by means of the application and updating of the respective legal and regulatory frameworks, the dissemination of best practices, guidance and technical criteria.

DGT also develops research supported by national or European funded projects and initiatives in different areas related to DGT key competences namely, the extraction of land use and land cover (LULC) information from satellite and other earth observation data, spatial data infrastructures (SDI), the use of spatial information and technologies in different domains such as environmental analysis and modelling, spatial and urban planning, risk assessment, citizen participation and Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI).
