CROSS Harmonization & HPC modelization of FOREST Datasets

Download

The aim of Cross-Forest is to combine Forest Inventory Datasets, Forestry maps and observational Big Data and to create and integrate models supporting forest management and forest protection.
Operational analysis and specifications
This deliverable is a voluntary update of D1.1 presented by the Cross-Forest consortium in
2019. The reason for this elaboration is because at that time the works to be developed were
not yet fully defined and the part of the development external to the HPC infrastructure was
still in the study phase. In the first version of this deliverable it was already stated that there
would be an update of it in the future.
Data collection, Data quality, Ontologies anda Vocabularies
This document describes the collection of data included in the Spanish National Forest
Inventory and Spanish Forest Map, and the status of the OWL ontologies and vocabularies
created to represent the collected data.
Cross-Forest Pilots. First Iteration
This deliverable describes the works performed during the first 18 months of Cross-Forest Project
regarding the development of the pilots CAMBRIC and FRAME, and shows the status of both pilots.
The document contains a description of activities and tasks executed from the beginning of the Project
up to 28/02/2020, the preparation and performance of tests (running on local and on HPC
environment), as well as explanations of the problems faced and the ways that have been found more
suitable to solve them.
Cross Forest User Specifications and Requirements
This document defines the procedures developed in the Pilots and practical scenarios of
Cross-Forest, FRAME and CAMBRIC, aimed to design and develop the practical use cases for
implementation of HPC services applied to forestry environment.
