On October 26-30, 2020, the XI Jornadas Ibéricas de Infraestruturas de Dados Espaciais (XI JIIDE) occurred virtually due to the pandemic of COVID-19. The event was organized by the Directorate-General for Territory (DGT) and the National Center for Geographic Information in Spain.
JIIDE is an event made up of communications on projects and activities based on geographic information, technical workshops that aim to share knowledge on a specific theme and round tables that aim to promote debate on a particular subject.
The theme of XI JIIDE was «Contributions to the development of a low carbon economy».

During the event, it was possible to disseminate the Cross-Forest Project through the following presentations:
– Easy Visualization of Forest Inventories and Land Cover Maps with Forest Explorer, Guillermo Vega-Gorgojo (Universidad de Valladolid);
– Surveying Cross-Forest Platform: modelization of wildfires and growth in Iberian forest stands, Cristóbol Ordóñez (Universidad de Valladolid);
– Evaluation of Cross-Forest project developments: preliminary results, Alexandra Fonseca (DGT);
More than 777 people participated remotely in this event on Spatial Data Infrastructures (IDE), in which recent studies were presented on methodologies, applications and sources of information for Spatial Data Infrastructures and on the theme of the event.
